The Table Service Attendant will provide service in the dining room, set up tables, and clean service areas.
Tasks
- Table preparation
- Table setting with required meal supplies
- Turn on stoves
- Obtains items needed for services such as jams, creamers, milk, tea, coffee, etc. and report any lack of supplies
- Preparation and distribution of trays to rooms as required
- Preparation of desserts for meals
- Table service
- Full meal service
- Clears and cleans tables and sends dishes to kitchen area
- Set tables for next meal
- Taking orders for next meal
- Prepare afternoon snack if required
- Return to get the trays served
- Turn off stoves
- Filling of provisions and setting up (e.g. sugar, salt shaker, cereals, etc.)
- Dining room maintenance
- Floor sweeping, stain cleaning or specific damage
- Wash counters, sinks, tablecloths, refrigerator, floor in front of service counter, etc.
- Dust chairs, tables, sugar bowls, salt shakers, pepper shakers, etc.
- Maintain trolleys
- Management of bins and boxes
- Wash rags of the day
- Dishwashing
- Washing dishes for meals
- Storage in designated areas
- Maintenance of its equipment and workspace
- Attendance sheet check
- Resident/Employee Attendance Sheet Control
- Well-being of residents
- Physical and moral support to residents
- Any other tasks that may be requested by management
Qualities required
- Be comfortable and love the elderly clientele
- Ability to work in a team
- Respond to customer emergencies
- Follow the guides and procedures required under the Government Certification of Seniors Residences
- Recognizes priorities and important tasks
- Performs tasks safely
- Knows and applies hygiene and sanitation practices in their work environment
- Is autonomous in his work organization and in the execution of his tasks
- Can work alone or in teams
- Knows the use of equipment for safety and efficiency
- Is in good physical shape
